Dolls House Project

The Dolls' House

Just about every little girl's dream, these traditional toys never go out of fashion. This one will last for years and provide endless fun.

These large toys can be very expensive to buy and time consuming to make. Factory produced ones can be very delicate and easily damaged, especially plastic ones. Not a good idea when younsters are playing with them! They need to be large enough for youngsters to get into and stable enough not to tip over. They also need to made of safe materials and be capable of withstanding knocks that everyday play can produce. Our Dolls' House does this easily!

We Start you off

By making the carcass of the Dolls House out of safe MDF board, using no nails or pins. Apertures for windows and doors are cut out and a set of stairs installed. The roof is removable for access and the front panel hinges open.

The Robust Structure is very strong and can even withstand being sat upon by youngsters. The base is 600mm x 600mm and the roof height is also about 600mm (that's 24" x 24" x 24" - to you non-metric people!) and the material is 12mm thick MDF.

The House is already for you to Finish (with the kids too!)

Just like the larger projects that we do (fitted kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, bepsoke furniture) we finish the house to a high standard and can change the design to suit your individual requirements - French door aperture, bay window opening, wider stairs, etc.

You and the children can then enjoy hours of pleasure finishing it off - by fitting wall coverings; making windows and doors; tiling the roof; making furniture; etc. The finished effect can be as basic or as fanciful as you like! It all depends on your (and their) patience and budget.

Your will Save Money and have lots of Fun with this Project

The Basic House takes us about three days to produce, more time if you want other things added to the basic design. We can also supply paints, timber, cables and other construction materials for you to use.

Model/Craft shops hold good stocks of the wall and roof coverings, frames and furniture you might wish to use in the house. This is much more than a Toy but it will provide hours of endless fun for the kids in the completing of it and once it is finished.
